  1. Hi!

Thanks, finally someone else besides me figured out that the 4 Noble Truths is a recursive procedure which calls itself, until the “cessation of suffering” is reached. It’s spectacular! The Middle Way means this procedure is constantly dividing through the center until there is convergence in the mind, samadhi or concentration. That is why Buddha said his teachings must be practiced for the procedure to work since practice activates this procedure, without it is just like a recipe.

    I love Buddha!

In the Dhammachakka Sutta (quoted below) there is reference to 5 stages in the realization of the 4 noble truths
Please may I have some detail explanation as to what these stages mean in actual practice .
It would help me to evaluate my own levels of understanding

“‘Idam dukkham ariyasaccan’ti me, bhikkhave, pubbe ananussutesu dhammesu cakkhum udapādi, ñānam udapādi, paññā udapādi, vijjā udapādi, āloko udapādi. ‘Tam kho panidam dukkham ariyasaccam pariññeyyan’ti me, bhikkhave, pubbe ananussutesu dhammesu cakkhum udapādi, ñānam udapādi, paññā udapādi, vijjā udapādi, āloko udapādi. ‘Tam kho panidam dukkham ariyasaccam pariññātan’ti me, bhikkhave, pubbe ananussutesu dhammesu cakkhum udapādi, ñānam udapādi, paññā udapādi, vijjā udapādi, āloko udapādi
